Posted on Sep 13, 9: I appreciate you taking the time to help me with this, I know that I just need to learn the basics and I will be on my way. Screen shots to follow So if all I want to use is the USB, can you walk me through motkf6 set up in Logic and on my Motif if it’s not too much trouble?
I have my Motif Setup whereby I have midi set to usb and sync set to internal. Is that what is needed to hear the sounds from the Motif? I have a Motif 6 and I’m trying to connect it to my Mac Book Pro and use it with Logic Pro 9 and I can’t get them to work together, the youtube videos are not working for me, can anyone point me in the right direction? Installing the Yamaha USB MIDI Driver in Windows XP
If they are not found, Windows will display the message, ‘Windows was unable to locate a driver for this device’. I don’t necessarily have to record my motif as audio, I just want it all to work together and don’t know how to go about it I have no audio interface.
If so that’s fine, I just want to be able to record in Logic. Motkf6 will search for the driver files.
I was reading the logic manual and it goes into some deep mktif6 that I have not quite gotten to yet. You will then have to right click the track header in the arrange window to select the instrument for that track.
Using a Classic Motif 6 with Presonus Studio One via USB
Helpful motlf6 Drop Down menu. Select the new multi and choosing the midi port Try search some of the terms in the manual the rest should be easy.
This opens a separate window. I did download and install a driver yesterday. New Multi from the menu 2.
Should be able to help you as I have a number of external synths working with Logic. The ‘Install from Disk’ window will reactivate.
The ‘Save As’ dialog box will appear. Sign up for monthly plan and follow all the tutorials you want, then once you’ve got the hang of it, cancel your plan. An original classic 6, you’ll need an audio interface to get sound in and out of logic.
